Dentist: Full-Time and Part-Time

Under the direction of the Dental Director, the General Dentist must be able to provide comprehensive, quality dental care services to all adult and pediatric patients. Will obtain medical and dental histories as required, based on the National Board of Dentistry. Will also provide assistance and direction on clinical issues and medical management for reporting requirements.

Must be experienced in identifying gum disease, tooth cavities and other oral health problems, and with treating dental diseases and developing appropriate treatment plans for adults and children. Must have experience with treatment plans, goals, patient education, making referrals, consults and follow-up care. Should also have some instructional experience to serve as a Preceptor for dental residents.

Requirements

Must be a graduate of an accredited General Dentistry or Pediatric Dentistry program and possess a D.M.D. or D.D.S. degree. May be a General Dentist who limits his/her practice to Pediatric Dentistry. GPR or AEGD residency mandatory. Must present evidence of successful completion and passing of the National Board Dental Examination administered by the American Dental Association (ADA) as well as proof of licensure by the New Jersey State Board of Dentistry.

In-depth multidisciplinary health training experiences a plus, as is experience teaching in an academic program. Previous experience working in an ambulatory care health center, hospital, clinic or private practice preferred. Knowledge of electronic health records and experience with the Media Dentsoftware.
