Dr. Amer K. Syed, M.D., F.A.C.P., M.P.A.
Board Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Syed received his medical degree at King Edward Medical University in Pakistan. He served an Internal Medicine internship and residency at Seton Hall University - St. Michael’s Medical Center. In 2013 he earned an Executive MBA from Rutgers Business School. Dr. Syed is member of the New Jersey Medical Society and the Association of Medical Review Officers.
Since 2013, he has been the Acting Program Director at Jersey City Medical Center. Prior to joining Metropolitan Family Health Network, Dr. A. Syed served as Associate Program Director and Academic Chief of Ambulatory Services at Jersey City Medical Center; Chief Medical Officer/Police Surgeon for North Bergen Township; Medical Director at Comfort Care Hospice; and Regional Medical Director at Omni Healthcare Services.
Dr. Syed was the recipient of a proclamation from the Mayor and City Council of Jersey City in recognition for his participation in a medical mission to Haiti and for serving as a first responder for the “Flight on the Hudson.”
Dr. Syed is a resident of Jersey City who speaks English, Hindi, Panjabi and Urdu.
