Dr. Carmelo S. Pingol, M.D.

Psychiatry

A native of the Philippines, Dr. Pingol joined the staff of Metropolitan Family Health Network in April 2013. 

After earning his Doctor of Medicine degree from Far Eastern University in Manila, Dr. Pingol served an internship at Far Eastern University Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation Medical Center, was a rural health physician in Benguet, and resident physician in Bataan. He also served a post-graduate residency in Pediatrics at Elmhurst City Hospital in New York, and a residency in Psychiatry at Cabrini Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Pingol has served as Staff Psychiatrist with St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, the Mount Carmel Guild in Jersey City and Union City, and Christ Hospital in Jersey City. Additionally, he was the Adult Prison Psychiatrist for Riker’s Island and the Philadelphia Detention Center.

Dr. Pingol is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, and is fluent in English and Tagalog.
