Dr. Hristos K. Kranias, M.D.

Obstetrics & Gynecology

Dr. Kranias joined the Metropolitan Family Health Network OB/GYN staff in November 2011.

A member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Medical Association, Dr. Kranias earned a Bachelor of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry degree from Millersville University of Pennsylvania and went on to earn a Master’s degree in Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Disease from Saint Barts and the Royal London School of Medicine in London (United Kingdom) and a Doctor of Medicine from Saint George’s School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Kranias then served in the Graduate Medical Education, Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Mount Sinai School of Medicine-Jersey City Campus.

Prior to joining MFHN staff, Dr. Kranias was Administrative Chief Resident in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Jersey City Medical Center. He has served on the Committee of Interns and Residents at Jersey City Medical Center, the Graduate Medical Education Committee of Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, and the Patient Safety and Quality Assurance Committee at Jersey City Medical Center.

He holds certifications from the Association of Women’s Health Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (Fetal Monitoring Course), American Academy of Pediatrics (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and American Heart Association (Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support).
