Dr. Vanessa Escobar Barboda, M.D.
Dr. Barboza attended medical school at Universidad del Norte in Colombia, and followed with an internship at Clinica Renal de la Costa (affiliated with Universidad del Norte). In 2004, Dr. Barboza studied Aerospace Medicine in Colombia. She went on to serve her Internal Medicine residency at Lincoln Health and Medical Center – Weill Cornell Medical Center in the Bronx, and completed a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at University of Vermont. In 2009, Dr. Barboza received the Best Research Project and Research Recognition awards from Lincoln Health and Medical Center. She is Board Certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.
Prior to joining Metropolitan Family Health Network, Dr. Barboza served as an Attending Physician at Lincoln Health and Medical Center – Weill Cornell Medical College. She held the positions of Academic Hospitalist at New York Hospital of Queens, Internal Medicine Clinical Instructor at Weill Cornell Medical College and Attending Physician in the Endocrinology Department at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
Dr. Barboza, a resident of Guttenberg, has been on staff at Metropolitan Family Health Network since 2014.
